Production Unlocked will be in Newcastle on 23 – 25 April 2024 with an exciting programme of masterclasses, panel discussions and practical skills sessions focusing on production.

Notable sessions include Getting into Drama with Children’s TV, in which Sharuna Sagar will be speaking to Alan Fairholm (Line Producer on Byker Grove, Tracy Beaker and The Dumping Ground), Julia Bird (Talent Executive, BBC Studios Kids & Family) and our Operation Director Gayle Woodruffe on how Children’s Drama has been a major player in the North East screen industry for over 30 years and how Children’s TV is a great training ground for those wanting to work in TV Drama.

There will also be a Meet the Commissioners panel featuring Helen Munson (Commissioning Editor Factual, Daytime, BBC), Emma Lawson (Commissioning Editor Comedy, Comedy Commissioning, BBC), Alison Gwynn (Chief Executive, North East Screen), and Lisa Laws (Director of Talent & Business Development, North East Screen).
