Do you want to find out more about the TV and Film industry in the North East? Do you want to join the conversation and understand how the industry is addressing barriers? Do you want to meet with other industry professionals?
Come along to the Northern Studios in Hartlepool for the afternoon on Thursday 14th March where we will be hosting our first Screen Alliance North ‘Connected Communities’ event. The focus will be on ways of accessing the industry, overcoming barriers and discussions around diversity and inclusion.
The event is in partnership with BBC Commissioning and supports the BBC’s Bring the Drama Festival currently taking place across the UK.
The aim is to see new starters, established producers, HOD’s and Production Companies come together to discuss important issues to ensure the screen industry grows in our region in a sustainable and positive way.
You’ll hear from Screen Alliance North and North East Screen about opportunities in the region and the wider North for screen industry professionals and those who are wanting to start a career in the industry.
You’ll be able to take part in a seminar on Diversity and Inclusion which will cover Inclusion in the workplace, Conscious bias, Neurodiversity and Knowledge of access to work schemes. This will be followed by a panel event discussing the issues more widely.
Networking and a marketplace will complete the afternoon to help enhance your knowledge and networks in the region.
