Francesco Puddu from Durham University (@ffrancesco_puddu) has been announced as the winner of the Frame Your Future Content Creation Challenge, part of the North East Screen Connected Campus @ NEUSN programme.
The challenge invited students from five North East universities to create a 20–30 second vertical video with viral appeal, testing their creativity, technical skill, and storytelling ability. Francesco’s entry stood out for its dynamic editing, variety of shots, and engaging narrative – a “day in the life” that kept viewers hooked from start to finish.
Judge and Content Creator Laura Fulgenzi (@laurabfulgenzi)“Francesco’s video was inspiring – the editing, pacing, and attention to detail really brought his story to life. It’s motivating to see this level of talent from students in the North East.”
The Connected Campus programme is designed to connect students directly with the screen industry, offering workshops, insight from professionals, and practical challenges that prepare participants for careers in film, TV, and digital media. Initiatives like this help develop a pipeline of skilled, confident creatives ready to contribute to our growing regional screen sector.
