North East Screen is hosting a half-day Bridge to Industry Careers Workshop in Hartlepool, giving new entrants the insight, skills and confidence to take their first steps into the screen industries.

The workshop will cover:

Crew roles and hierarchy – understanding the structure on set.

Set etiquette – how to work professionally and efficiently.

Essential paperwork – interpreting call sheets, schedules and other production documents.

Finding work – production CV tips and guidance on opportunities in the North East.

Expert panel – hear from and meet mid-level industry professionals, including a Hair & Make-Up HOD.
Training will be delivered by North East Screen Skills team trainers, Kat Mitchelson and David Lester, alongside industry expert Michael Birtley. A small panel of crew will share their experiences and answer questions.
Spaces are limited to 30–40 participants. This workshop is open to anyone aged 18+ who lives in the North East.
