Background To Post

We’re HT, a specialist video, animation and photography agency. We work in the Health & Social Care; Energy & Sustainability; Engineering & Manufacturing; Training & Education and Infrastructure & Civil Engineering sectors.

Established in 2002 we have steadily built up a regular client base of companies from across the UK, for which we deliver story-driven content that reflects their brand and effectively tells their story. Our proactive, inquisitive approach ensures we discover the best solutions. We’re people-focused; building long-lasting relationships with our clients.

After a strong year of growth, we need the support of a reliable, upbeat and creative Camera Operator to take over from our Director Dan who needs to put more focus into the business.

We do require 2+ years experience as we need somebody who can jump straight in and confidently take over the majority of the filming responsibilities.

About the Role
  • Clear and quality recording of footage in line with the clients specifications.
  • Driving to and from shoots and transporting the kit.
  • Practical and creative input to all aspects of a project.
  • Preparing, Organising and Maintaining the Kit ahead of shoots and between shoots.
  • You will be required to drive to shoots, transporting the kit, a driving licence and car is vital.
  • During projects we like to approach things as if we’re an extension of our client’s team. You will be friendly and confident when liaising with clients- both in person and online- and will be someone they know they can come to and trust.
  • Work closely with our creative and production teams to respond to and deliver on briefs.
  • Management of your diary to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Creation of materials, support and engagement during pre production of projects.
Who Are We Looking For?
  • You will have a strong understanding and interest in visual communication and camera operation.
  • You will have a full UK Driving License and your own car.
  • You will have incredible attention to detail, our footage must be in focus and of highest quality.
  • You will be interested and willing to learn more about our clients and the sectors they work in.
  • You will be computer literate, able to complete basic administrative tasks.
  • Some level of physical strength is required to be a camera operator as the equipment can be heavy especially after long periods of filming.
  • You have good communication skills, are friendly and will work well as part of a diverse team. Working with a variety of people in a wide range of sectors. You’ll know how to adapt your communication styles depending on the client we’re working with.
  • You’re proactive and a positive problem-solver. There might be stumbling blocks throughout the production process. This isn’t a problem as long as they’re responded to correctly.
  • Aside from Camera Operation any other creative skills you are able to offer the business would be desirable; photography, animation, editing would all be useful to us.

Think we’ve missed something? We’re more than happy to hear why you’d be perfect for this role.

Crew
Registering and
Finding

Using regionally based crew with local knowledge is beneficial to any production and can prove much more cost effective than bringing crew from outside the region. There is a wealth of experienced crew here in the North East, many of whom learnt their trade in the region, broadened their skills elsewhere and then returned to the North East bringing that knowledge and skills back with them. Our database allows you to search for the region’s best crew who will help make your shoot a success. We can also circulate job opportunities to specific grades and advertise using our social media channels and website.
